Thermal and mass transfer resistance at a liquid-gas interface of an evaporating droplet: A molecular dynamics study

Thermal and mass transfer resistance at a liquid-gas interface could strongly affect the evaporation of micro/nanodroplet. One challenges in investigation heat across interfaces is that there are two modes, namely, conduction, an evaporating liquid surface. Interfacial conduction was often overlooked analysis droplet. In this work, we derive analytical expressions for to flow droplet from kinetic theory gases verify theoretical predictions by comparing them molecular dynamics simulation results. The modeling results show temperature jump surface mainly associated with interfacial rather than evaporation, vapor density near determined transfer, i.e., interface. Using thermal resistance, formulate boundary conditions determine scenario under which conventional assumptions continuous profile saturated become invalid.
